Arab Mallorca

Arabs controlled the island for around 400 years until the Catalan invasion in 1229, but very little remains of their presence. Arab Governors occupied and remodeled the old Roman fortress, but subsequent occupation by the Spanish has erased almost all Arab influence. All that is left is a small haman (bath) tucked away in a secluded garden on a side street.
